Alexa Mieses Malchuk, MD, MPH, FAAFP, is a practicing family physician and district medical director at One Medical in Raleigh-Durham, NC.

She earned her medical degree and master's in public health degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she earned distinction in research and excellence in family medicine. She completed her residency at Duke University, where she earned the Memorial Award for Leadership and Advocacy in Family Medicine two years in a row, and her faculty development fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill.

Dr. Mieses Malchuk is board-certified in family medicine. She is a current American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) fellow and was previously honored as a National Minority Quality Forum 40 Under 40 in Healthcare, and Aspen Institute Fellow.

She also served as an assistant professor of medicine at the UNC’s School of Medicine Chapel Hill from 2019 to 2022. Her peer-reviewed articles have been published in Family Medicine and Annals of Family Medicine, and she has appeared as an expert on ABC local news and other national media outlets.
