Renee S. Hartz, MD
Medical Director West Suburban Pain ReliefRenee S. Hartz, MD, is the medical director of the Chicago Center for Myofascial Pain Relief in Illinois. She graduated from medical school in 1974. After completing pediatric and surgical internships, Dr. Hartz went on to complete general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery residencies, becoming one of the first female cardiac surgeons in the world. During her academic career, she mentored students and residents and has published widely in both clinical and basic research on heart disease in women. She received tenure at Northwestern University and was Chief of the Cardiothoracic Surgical program at the University of Illinois.
